FirstStep is guided by three core
principles - 1) Deliver value by making our clients more capable,
productive, and effective as a result of our collaboration. 2) Transfer essential knowledge and skills to our clients. 3)
Build supportive, trusting relationships. These values have been guiding FirstStep for more than 20 years. The model for this
kind of consulting is not new. It goes back to the mid-1800s. An Outfitter Consultant – Back when America was expanding
westward, outfitting companies situated along the Mississippi River provided pioneers with equipment for their trip, taught
them what they needed to know, and gave them maps and advice to succeed in their journey. The outfitter led them a ways down
the trail to get them started, but eventually returned to their post to help the next group heading west. Each pioneer was different. Some had skills, but needed to refine them or add to them.
Some knew very little, but wanted to go to a better place. The outfitter had to determine what each person needed and find
a solution that worked for them so they could make the trip safely to their destination. The best outfitters felt a sense
of obligation and commitment to these travelers and knew how important their role was to the lives of those they were helping. FirstStep
is an outfitter consultancy. We prepare people for successful journeys. We empower them, prepare them, encourage them, and
help them succeed independently. FirstStep’s Value Proposition –
We bring a wealth of knowledge, a wide range of experience, and keen insights to our work. We’ve seen a lot, done a
lot, and solved a wide range of problems. Even though clients are different, our experience allows us to draw parallels. Our
intellect allows us to generate innovative, custom solutions. Our ability to transfer knowledge and skills makes our clients
better in the long run. Finally, we quote a fee and honor it. You can count on us to do what we say we’ll do. My
company’s name is FirstStep and if you are looking for expert help call us. You will be better for it.
